Quartz Components for Semiconductor Manufacturing
Semiconductor front-end processes run in furnaces and chambers at high temperature, under vacuum or reactive gas, where metal contamination ruins yields. Fused quartz — pure SiO₂ with near-zero thermal expansion and high temperature capability — is the standard material for the consumable quartzware inside this equipment.
Where Quartz Is Used in the Fab
- Diffusion and oxidation furnaces — process tubes, source and thermocouple sheaths, end caps and boats carrying wafers through the thermal process.
- CVD / LPCVD — process tubes and injector components exposed to precursor gases at temperature.
- Wafer carrying — quartz wafer boats and carriers for batch furnace processes.
- Chamber internals — rings, pedestals, liners, covers and windows for single-wafer equipment. [Confirm availability for specific part types]
Why Fused Quartz Fits These Processes
- High purity SiO₂ avoids adding metallic contamination
- Continuous service temperature around 1100–1200 °C covers typical furnace profiles
- Low CTE keeps boats and tubes dimensionally stable over thousands of cycles
- Chemical resistance to cleaning chemistries (except HF)
OEM and Replacement Parts
We manufacture quartz components to customer drawings and can reverse-engineer replacement parts from worn samples. Whether you maintain a single furnace or operate production lines, send us the part number, drawing or sample.
